Mystery Quilt  ??? Stars???
Do you like to play a lot with the interaction of value as you create a quilt?  Throw in a little variety with color?  Then this will be a fun top for you, although if you don't like quarter square triangles or flying geese it may be a challenge.  But trust me, you will be seeing stars.

The top will be about 72" square, unless you decide you just have to add another border or two.

This design would work well with a variety of fabric choices -- pre-1900 repros or Thimbleberry fabrics would be great, but then so would batiks and other textural fabrics.  I'd stay away from really huge prints for this one, though.  A scrappy variety of reds, blues, and whites/creams is what I chose to make mine in, but a monochromatic color scheme would also work quite well.  You will just need to choose how many fabrics you will call "Darkest","Dark", "Medium","Medium-light", and "Light".  I'll trust you to keep your colors straight.
